Ariana Bautista is a LA based multimedia artist who is currently attending Pasadena City College for a degree in Animation and Studio Arts. She works in a variety of mediums, such as digital art, gouache paint, watercolors, colored pencils, and oil/soft pastels. Some of her works have also been selected for gallery exhibitions, such as Pasadena City College's Student Juried Exhibition and the 2nd Annual Brand Classroom Showcase.

Many of Ariana's works explore the complexities of human emotions and experiences through the juxtaposition of dark themes with whimsical and "comforting" imagery. Vibrant colors and childlike textures help create the illusion of a comforting space, while masking the lingering feelings of loneliness and despair. However, she is still interested in exploring feelings of joy, love, and devotion, such as her many depictions of her favorite plushie, Piglet. Amongst some of her other art pieces, her Piglet-focused work acts as a light in the dark.

Her body of work is intended to reflect how nuanced and contradicting the real world can be and forces the viewer to see it in more shades than black and white.
